Simple Simons Gelato Coffee House Cafe

Met peter during my morning walk today , asked him if he was Irish and then he invited me in for a Guinness :) The generous and charismatic service was beyond obvious in this cafe from the owner to the chef to the staff. Bless your health team

We went here for Breakfast this morning and ordered a Big breakfast and Pancakes along with coffee. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The coffee came out very quickly and was great. We had a piccolo and a strong flat white and both were very well made. Breakfast was out within 10 minutes and it was super tasty. We sat outside and it was a beautiful warm morning and the sun was shining. Was a great start for a birthday.

Just discovered this amazing café by the beach! The service was top-notch, and all their recommendations were spot on. We ordered the Chicken and Leek Pot Pie, Linguini with Chilli Prawn, and Chicken Mushroom Linguini. The pot pie was a perfect choice to warm us up. It came with a fresh salad and crispy chips on the side, making it a well-balanced meal. The portion was generous, and the price was more than reasonable for what we got. The pastas were chef’s kiss! Compliments to the chef, the ingredients didn’t overpower each other and instead created a beautifully balanced flavour. The chilli prawn pasta had fresh prawns, greens, and just the right hint of tanginess. The chicken mushroom linguini came with a creamy sauce and perfectly cooked mushrooms. Even though the weather was cold, it didn’t stop us from ordering cold drinks. The Mango Delight truly lived up to its name, perfect for mango lovers. My personal favourites were the Banana Açaí Smoothie and the Strawberry Kiss. I expected them to be overly sweet, but they were just right exactly how we Asians like it. Not too sweet is the highest compliment we can give. We drank them down to the bottom and left completely satisfied. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the Simple Simons team for such an amazing experience!

The service is quite nice, the coffee and mix berries porridge are delicious. Quite a nice place to make a stop when you're at Balmoral Beach

They probably have 8 items on the food menu but each one is delicious and visually stunning. Plus the highlight would be a variety of juices, frappe and smoothies. Our food and juice were both great. The staff is friendly and service fast inspite of them being super busy over weekends. We had no space left else would have definitely tried the gelato. Perfect excuse for another visit.

A return visit to Simple Simon's after a stunning walk from Taronga Zoo—and it didn’t disappoint! We were warmly greeted by the manager, who remembered us from a previous visit, which made the experience feel extra special. We all ordered the chicken and leek pot pie, and it was just as delicious as we remembered—flavourful, hearty, and perfectly comforting. We’ll definitely be back for it again! Thanks, from the Irish gang!

Really delicious food, friendly staff. Crispy skin salmon was perfect. The bacon pasta is creamy and prawn linguine is fresh and delicious!! Really enjoyed the food here. Came here with a newborn, really nice cozy place. Absolute 5 stars!!
